Lately more and more I’ve been creating my shirts as vector art. After my experiment with an all-vector design for the 57 Chevy shirt for Classic Collision, I decided to keep doing designs entirely in Illustrator so I can build up my arsenal of car clip art.

This year’s Cambria Pinedorado shirt gets the same treatment. They typically want a good cross-section of vehicles – classics and late-models – all of which I already happened to have Photoshop renderings of. However, I start off each rendering with line art done in Illustrator, so I decided to take the leap and finish each one of these vehicles off as vector art.
Creating these cars as vector art seems a bit more time consuming… I don’t know if it’s the fact that I get carried away with details, or if I just work faster in Photoshop. Either way, it’s an enjoyable challenge, and I am pleased with the results.
