Non-Car Art & My New Blog

Posted on January 14th, 2010 by by Kristina

My multiple personalities are showing!!!…. er…. well I’m in the process of splitting my art/work/car  ‘personality’ in three so to speak, so I can keep things a bit more organized, and to finally get out all the ideas I have stored in my brain.

Why now you ask? Well I recently painted a mural for my soon to be nephew’s room, and enjoyed the process so much that I am finally going to dive into the pile of canvasses and paint that I’ve been hording for way too long. I’m also getting the materials together to start screenprinting my own art posters. (Yes, there will be Hot Rod & Car Art posters, don’t worry your pretty little heads).

This made me realize that I really should split things up a bit, so TA-DA!!!!! Here’s the new blog: kristina-albrecht.com

You may be saying ‘You’re insane! This site and blog has art on it! Lots of art!’ To which I answer, ” Yes!” but in my mind they are two separate entities. The stuff you see here is mostly work for clients, rarely do I draw for myself or for fun. This new venture forces me to actually do stuff for me, and hopefully make a bit of extra spending cash while doing it.

“But you said three personalities!” you say – which is true. I have a third site coming that will be devoted to my Love Affair with the Car. And Trucks. And Motorcycles. And Kustoms. And Bitchin Paint Jobs. And polished Porsche Fuchs on 80s vintage Mini Trucks. And…. well you get the picture. Anyone who knows me well can say that yes, I do like all that ‘Car Stuff’. I’ll be sure to post here when it’s ready to go.

Thanks for listening! :-)

Btw, here’s the mural in question.  (cue ‘The Immigrant Song’ by Led Zeppelin)
